I Hate Furniture Shopping

Well, it's gone beyond shopping at this point. In early September (or late August), we purchased a desk for my office and a couch from a furniture chain here. The couch needed to be a special order, but the desk was ready. Since the house wasn't, we combined the orders to pay one fee for delivery and left it at that.

Mid-September they called to try to deliver the desk to us. We told them there was no house to deliver it to (well it is there, but not completed). This took two days to sort out.

Now they tell us that the couch won't be ready until mid-November, despite the fact that it was ordered 2 months before we needed it and then they tell us they took a piece of my desk out and sold it, so my desk won't be ready until mid-November as well.

After waiting almost 6 months for our house to be built, living with my wife's grandparents, and using dial-up (anathema to 'net geeks like me), I want my damn desk! And the couch, dammit people, how am I going to watch TV in the living room without a couch?
